POLITICAL MOVEMENT honours and acknowledges the ancestral caretakers of Tkarón:to (which translates to “Where The Trees Meet The Water” and is known as “The Gathering Place”) where the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Haundenosaunee Confederacy and the Wendat First Nation have a Treaty relationship with Canada.

We also acknowledge W
inipīhk (which translates to "Muddy Water") as the territories of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Dakota, Dene, Métis, and Oji-Cree Nations; Treaty 1, the ancestral and traditional homeland of the Anishinaabe peoples and the Birthplace of the Métis Nation.

We share our gratitude to them and all other Nations who care for the land (acknowledged and unacknowledged, recorded and unrecorded) as the past, present and future caretakers.
